The problem we solved.
Businesses generate enormous amounts of data through Excel, CSV, and operational systems, but turning that raw data into meaningful business decisions often requires significant manual work.
Traditional analytics workflows require users to clean datasets, build formulas, create pivot tables, design dashboards, identify anomalies, generate reports, and interpret results manually.
For non-technical users, this creates a major gap between having data and actually understanding it.
Data Insight was created to close that gap by turning raw business data into structured intelligence through an AI-powered workflow.
How we tackled it.
We approached Data Insight as an AI-first data intelligence platform rather than simply an Excel automation tool.
The platform was designed around a structured pipeline that validates incoming datasets, profiles and cleans the data, identifies important patterns, generates business intelligence, and transforms the results into dashboards, reports, forecasts, recommendations, and downloadable Excel workbooks.
The architecture separates authentication, organization management, dataset processing, AI services, analytics, workbook generation, background processing, and storage so the platform can scale as data volume and product capabilities grow.
What we built.
Data Insight provides a unified workspace where users can upload Excel, CSV, or JSON datasets and allow the platform to automatically analyze the information.
The system validates and profiles the dataset, detects data-quality issues, generates KPIs and visualizations, identifies trends and anomalies, produces forecasts and recommendations, and presents the results through an interactive analytics experience.
The platform can also generate a structured AI-powered Excel workbook containing cleaned data, executive summaries, dashboards, insights, charts, recommendations, methodology, and supporting data documentation.
This transforms a traditionally manual analytics workflow into a guided AI-powered process.

How it's built.
Data Insight follows a modular, service-oriented SaaS architecture.
Users authenticate through the application and enter an organization/workspace controlled by role-based permissions.
The frontend communicates with the FastAPI backend through REST APIs. Uploaded datasets are stored securely and passed through a processing pipeline.
